LIST OF ISSUES
HOUSING
For far too long city hall has been plagued with several issues over the years, with electricity, water, and other utilities and high property taxes and they continue to ignore these issues. As Mayor, I will provide the basic human living conditions for every Atlanta resident and introduce a bill to supplement the renovation of housing properties that will offer property tax rebates an effort to supplement the renovation among local housing properties this legislation will also reduce ad valorem taxes for the property owners and, with the active involvement of the new owners.
EDUCATION
For our education, I believe that families stand at the center of our society. And that every family has a personal stake in promoting excellence in education. Excellence does not begin in city hall, and Washington when it comes to excellence, excellence must begin in our homes and neighborhood schools, where it's the responsibility of every parent and teacher and the right of every child education our children come first. We must do more to restore discipline to schools; and we must encourage the teaching of new basics, reward teachers of merit, enforce tougher standards, and put our parents back in charge. I want to expand opportunities for families and soften the double payment for those paying public school taxes and private school tuition. My proposal would target assistance to low- and middle-income families. Just as more incentives are needed I will bring back vocational training which would leave more students equipped for their desired fields and fewer working minimum wage jobs that are irrelevant to their education and their dreams.
HOMELESSNESS
I will build, expand, and restore homeless facilities throughout the city and I will remain committed to working with both public and private partners to find employment that will allow those struggling through poverty or homelessness to get back on their feet and on a meaningful path to self-sufficiency.
EXPANDING MOBILITY OPTIONS & TRAFFIC CONGESTION
The extraordinary population growth in Atlanta poses significant mobility challenges for our citizens and our visitors. I will work with all of our partners and stakeholders on creative solutions to expand and maintain a safe road network across our city. As the population density increases, especially in our city’s urban core, I will focus on building a more accessible transportation system that supports all forms of transportation. By making sure that our schools provide engineering infrastructure for all students.
LEGALIZE CANNABIS
Atlanta and a few other cities have decriminalized the possession of cannabis. What is the difference you say decriminalization of cannabis means it would remain illegal, but the legal system would not prosecute a person for possession under a specified amount. The legalization of cannabis is the process of removing all legal prohibitions against it. As mayor, I will fight to legalize cannabis and I will introduce legislation that will allow creating an Adult-Cannabis Business opportunity.
BUSINESS
As mayor for our business, I will investigate the COVID-19 violent incidents against businesses in Atlanta and find viable programs to help assist those businesses to get back up on their feet. And I will have fiscal spending under control and investigate our tax structure and make it more business and consumer-friendly.
PUBLIC SAFETY & CRIME
To be very clear I will NOT DEFUND THE POLICE! I will create a suitable budget for our local police departments so they will have accessibility to proper equipment, TO KEEP OUR CITY SAFE!
